prxelia:

By the Angel, this guy was going to annoy the fey
who had decided to visit Taki’s that day. Not that he
was totally to blame since Alec had made the comment
about drinking their blood. Out of everything he could
have said that was probably pretty low on the list…
as long as they didn’t talk to Kaelie to complain it
         was probably okay though. Mostly.

To know about werewolves and about the fair folk
or Shadowhunters (which he could accept, since
some Downworlders thought they were just a legend
or something similar) was certainly a feat. Where in
the world could this guy be from, where was he
exposed to one part of the non-human world yet not
all the others? Did he know about vampires? Warlocks?
Mermaids, kelpies, ifrits, the fact that zombies weren’t real?
… Probably not. It must have been somewhere small then,
somewhere isolated. Big cities had always been teeming
with the world hidden from mundane eyes.

                  ”Considering that the
                 two you just waved at
                  are fey, it’s safe to
                  say we could have—that.”

Saying fairy blood again just sounded like a bad idea,
but he didn’t dwell on that long when faced with the
look he was being given, as if he had just asked a ridiculous
question. Which he may have, since he was known for
asking irrelevant questions. Or questions that generally have
an obvious answer. And he supposed the question had been
easy to answer on his own in hindsight, since he knew that
someone had been following him well enough that he didn’t
                                    realize at first.

Clearly there were no qualms held about how
creepy it was to follow him around, given how blatantly
he admitted it and Alec leaned his elbows on the table,
eyebrows raising. Another comment was on the tip of his tongue,
something else useless and sarcastic, but it wouldn’t help
the situation. Or stop the brunet from following him around
until he supplied answers as far as Alec could tell.

                                             ”I'll think about your questions
questions so long as you keep
                                             your voice down.”

Which was really to say he wouldn’t answer most of them.

                                       —Probably.

“And I knew you were following me.”

                                                               Okay, maybe he
                                                               could have not
                                                               said that. Foot
                                                               in mouth, as
                                                               per always.

his brow raises in surprise at that, body turning to look at
said Fey being discussed. they– had seemed to look normal
when he first came into the little joint; but then again he hadn’t
really been paying attention to anyone else besides Alec.
now that he was really seeing them though, there was
something ethereal about them – an odd sort of shimmering,
enveloping their essence in a strange color, one that made
his eyes blink a few times, as if trying to adjust to it all —-
but he could see them clear as day, and Alec’s statement
of him supposedly not being ’mundane’ came forth from his
consciousness for just a moment. long enough to cause a
slight pick up in his heart rate, and that alone was enough to
make him turn away from the two at the table, directing his
attention back on the other and masking his face to hide any
sort of giveaway to the momentary lapse in control.

(   they had probably seen him staring —- but at this point, he really didn’t care what they thought. he wasn’t supposed to be seeing them in the first place, supposedly, and that alone was going to drive him insane with the answers he would want to be seeking out   )

                       Alec didn’t know about his past with Beacon Hills;
and Stiles wasn’t keen on really sharing it ——–
he had left that life behind for a promise of a new
future, and had been doing a marvelous job at
acting like a normal college kid without the constant
presence of supernatural creatures – but after
stumbling upon the Shadowhunter and that demon,
there’s been an undeniable itch in his system again,
like a flip that had been turned on – and Stiles wasn’t
sure if the feeling should unease him or excite him.

         (   he hadn’t pursued his…  w o r k  for awhile;

there had been promises made –   )

"Well, luckily for them, not really interested in
dabbling in that sort of exotic cuisine.“

despite the discovery of yet another new apparent species,
Stiles wasn’t letting it get to him – at this point, anything was
possible. hell, he had read up on ancient folklore and
mythology awhile back just to stay ahead of the game —-
he was still waiting for the unicorn. there was no doubt in
his mind that they had to exist somewhere. if his best friends
      could change into a wolf and scream when Death was near;
then a magical horse with a horn protruding from it’s head
could damn well exist as well.

"If you wanted to be secretive and quiet,
you should’ve just listened and gone along
with my first suggestions – instead of ignoring
me and acting like nothing happened.
So– no– I think I’m good talking just like this.”

(   which, wasn’t even that loud, jesus christ   )

                      “You knew, huh?
Cute way of setting up a little date, then.
                       I mean, I’m personally more of a
                       wine-and-dine kinda guy,
but I guess a supernaturally infested
café with croissants and fairy blood tea
                       works just as well.”
